Silver Spangled Hamburghs (Bantams)

Hamburgs are a delightful breed known in England as the "Dutch Everyday Layers". Not only are they a beautiful breed to show, they're prolific layers of smallish white eggs that fare very well in cold weather. They really appreciate the chance to run around, so we don't recommend Hamburgs if you can't let your flock range freely at least part of the time.

Although egg size is medium they are small eaters and cost less to keep than most breeds. The lustrous greenish black spangles on silvery white plumage give them a perky polkadot look. With neat rose combs, white ear lobes, leaden blue shanks and toes, these are excellent small birds for both beauty and utility..
