    The Silkie has to be one of the all time favourite pets, for children. They are just beautiful wandering through the garden. Silkies are a very docile breed with amazingly, very soft feathers, which both children & adults just love.They are not known for their egg laying ability ... usually around 100 a year!

    However, they make excellent broodies & mums and are used a lot for hatching eggs from other, flightier breeds that do not go broody. The silkie does not require a large backyard and tend to be quite hardy. We breed in a variety of colours ...  Buff, White, Black, Red & Gold, and have various birds and hens for sale throughout the year.
