Gold Pencilled Hamburghs (Bantams)

Regarded as one of the oldest breeds of poultry still in existence, Hamburghs are small, light framed birds, active, flighty and requiring high fencing. Hamburghs are one of the most prolific layers amomgst the pure breeds, laying 260+ eggs a year. Although egg size is medium they are small eaters and cost less to keep than most breeds.

These birds fare very well in cold weather, and are ideal for those who wish to keep birds on a tight budget, for the sole use of eggs.
